Jason Behfarin brings over 15 years of commercial real estate experience to G4 and in 2005, along with co-founders Louis Silverman and Robyn Sorid, launched G4 Capital Partners.
Mr. Behfarin started his career at the Lansco Corporation, a boutique tenant-rep commercial leasing firm, where he provided expansion and relocation solutions to retail tenants, successfully completing in excess of 100,000 s.f. of leasing transactions. He subsequently joined the Capital Markets Group at Newmark Knight Frank to focus on tax driven transactions, successfully selling and financing in excess of $500,000,000 of commercial real estate throughout the United States. In 2002, Mr. Behfarin began to acquire real estate for his own portfolio and was focused on the Los Angeles sub-market and multiple asset classes including multifamily and office. In 2003, he began to acquire and develop property in New York City.
Given Mr. Behfarin’s mulit-faceted real estate background, he has been a key asset to G4’s underwriting process and instrumental in the structuring and execution of development deals throughout the portfolio. On behalf of G4, he has managed the marketing, design and construction of several residential development projects throughout Manhattan, Harlem, Brooklyn and Long Island including a successful reposition and re-tenancy of a commercial center in a secondary market on the West Coast.
Although Mr. Behfarin is integrally involved in all capacities of G4′s management and operations he also spearheads the deal origination platform, leveraging his significant contacts in the real estate community to cultivate G4′s lending platform.
Mr. Behfarin graduated from Emory University where he concentrated in consulting and venture management, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration. He received his law degree from the Yeshiva University Cardozo School of Law.
